Is social media a problem? Yes! Would we be slightly better off if people went back to putting stuff on websites they actually own? Also yes! Do I think that this ‘blogging’ will make a huge comeback in 2025? Guys, I may be a bit wonky, but I’m not completely deluded.

And yet, the old internet is not completely dead. I mean, you somehow landed on this page. And these are the 5 most-read pieces I posted here in 2024.

#5 Friedrich #Merz is a difficult candidate in more ways than one. But I’m sure that he will win the upcoming German election anyway. And one half of the electorate will be even less happy than the other with this result.
